Artem Kuznetsov, the winner of the last edition of the CISC, returns to Porto city for an intimate and special concert. After having conquered the jury and the audience at the Casa da Música with a brilliant performance of Tchaikovsky’s Concerto No. 1, op.23 accompanied by the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra, directed by Osvaldo Ferreira, Kuznetsov reaffirms his talent, inspiring the new candidates of the competition.

His participation in CISC 2023 allowed Artem to record an album with KNS Classical that includes a piece by the Portuguese composer Victor Macedo Pinto.

Biography 

Born in Balashov, Artem Kuznetsov did part of his training in the United States, with teachers such as Stanislav Ioudenitch and Jon Kimura Parker. He conquered several awards in his carrer, including the Seattle and Dallas International Competitions, first prize in the Ivankova competition and the Bendizky Competition.

He has been acclaimed for his virtuosity, lyricism and electrifying energy as an award-winning concert pianist and enthusiastic chamber musician. While extensively performing solo recitals, Kuznetsov has also performed with many internationally acclaimed orchestras, including the Orquestra Filarmónica Portuguesa, Orchestra Simfonica di Sanremo, Orquesta Internacional Virtuosos de Madrid, Orchestra Filarmonica Mihail Jora di Bacau, Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès,Royal Prince Consort Orchestra and Euregio Chamber Orchestra In the past year alone. Through these performances, he has also enjoyed collaborations with prominent conductors such as Conrad Van Alpen, Simon Crawford-Philips, Ovidiu Balan, Benedetto Montebello, Lawrence Golan and Osvaldo Ferreira. Passionate about sharing his experience and coaching the future generations of classical musicians, Kuznetsov enjoys educating and maintaining a private studio, and currently holds the position as Teaching Assistant at the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas, Austin.
