Marco Ottaviani is a young italian pianist born in 2001. He made his debut in his first piano recitals after winning the first prize at sixteen in the international R. Schumann competition in Italy.

He is the laureate of 2024 Murai Grand Prix in Croatia and he has won more than twenty awards in national and international piano competitions, including Taranto Piano competition in Italy, Euregio competition in Germany, Treviso competition and Minerbio piano competition.
He graduated in May 2024 with distinctions of the jury at the École Normale “Alfred Cortot” in Paris with Rena Shereshevskaya.
From September 2024 he continues his studies with Natalia Trull and Vincenzo Balzani at the Accademia del Ridotto, Italy.
Since 2018, he has been regularly performing concerts in Italy and France, appearing in important venues and theaters such as Salle Cortot and Théâtre de Passy in Paris, Hermitage Museum, Moscow’s house of Culture, Ninji Novgorod hall, Salone del Cinquecento in Florence, Auditorium Pedrotti and Teatro Gioacchino Rossini in Pesaro, Teatro Gentile in Fabriano, Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Ateneu concert hall in Bacau and Sala Maffeiana in Verone.
He also collaborates with chamber music ensembles and, as a soloist, has played with various orchestras, including the Verdi Philharmonic orchestra, FORM orchestra , Philarmonic of Bacau,
Orchestra Raffaello and the chamber orchestra of Cameristi di Reggio Emilia.
He has been invited to perform at numerous festivals and associations including Pianissimo Festival in Russia, Salle Cortot concerts, Ente Concerti of Pesaro, RomaTre Orchestra, Festival of Göteborg, Festival Europa Rapallo, Monferrato Classica, Amici della Bologna Festival e Carlo Felice di Genova, Ischia Classica, Festival Artenetra and Civita Festival.
In 2023, he was a finalist in the Silvio Bengalli Piano Prize.
Marco began his musical studies at the G. Rossini Conservatory with Giovanni Valentini. He continued his studies at Accademia Imola with Enrico Pace and the Accademia del Ridotto under the guidance of Roberto Cappello.
He has participated in numerous masterclasses with prominent pianists such as Paleczny, Kodama, Petrushansky, Pace, Jasinski, Ikeba, Antonioli, Bekhterev, Ijiri.
Since 2020 Marco has also started conducting class in Imola and Reggio Emilia since 2020.
He’s continuing this experience with Marco Boni.
