Mikiko Moulin

FRANCE / JAPAN

Born in Osaka (Japan), Mikiko Gemba Moulin started her musical studies at the age of 5. Her many musical interests led her to study the piano, but also singing and cello, at the Osaka University of the Arts.

BIOGRAPHY

Admitted to the prestigious Mozarteum University in Salzburg (Austria), she continued her studies in the classes of Rolf Plagge (piano), Michael Tomasi (cello), and Clemens Hagen (chamber music).

Austrian government scholarship holder, Mikiko obtained the “Master of Arts” with special mention.

Throughout her studies, she benefited from the advice of Hans Leygraf, Masutaka Kanzawa and Brigit Engelhardt (piano), Aurora Natola Ginastera (cello) and Kerstin Meyer (singing).

Her concert activity brings her to perform regularly on stages in Japan, France, Germany and Austria: in piano duo with pianist Oliver Moulin, as a soloist with orchestra such as the Orchestra National de Metz under the baton of Jacques Mercier, and in chamber music.

Residing in France, Mikiko currently teaches piano at the Conservatory of Saint-Dié des Vosges.
