V SANTA CECILIA INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL

The Santa Cecília International Festival arose from the need to give visibility to young pianists who participated in the Santa Cecília International Competition, and shew rare artistic qualities.

Through a partnership with Museu do Porto and Porto City Council, Curso de Música Silva Monteiro is organizing another edition of this series of recitals in this so representative venue of the city of Porto.

The Festival is part of the competition’s activities throughout the year. In this 5th edition, and given the positive impact it has had on the public and the participating pianists themselves, Porto City Council and Museu do Porto have extended the series to 8 recitals.

We will once again have the opportunity to hear great pianists with diverse repertoires, but with a focus on the Romantic period, thus creating a dialog with the space in which this Festival takes place.
