BIOGRAPHY
Coming from a family of soviet immigrant violinists, Slava Guerchovitch was born in 1999 in Monaco, Monte-Carlo. He chooses though to learn the piano, and finishes his studies in the “Academie de Musique Rainier III” in Monaco.
In 2015, he enters in the « Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris », where he has the opportunity to work with musical figures such as Michel Béroff, Marie-Josèphe Jude, and Hortense Cartier-Bresson. Slava continues currently his studies in the class of the Russian professor Rena Shereshevskaya in the “Ecole Normale Alfred Cortot de Paris”.
He also benefited from many different schools of piano due to his numerous master-classes with E. Virsaladze, D. Pollack, J-P. Collard, P. Entremont, B. Rigutto, G. Takacs-Nagy just to name a few.
In 2022, Slava became the 3rd French pianist to win the 1st Grand Prize in the prestigious Epinal Piano Competition, in which he also got the Prize for the Best French competitor, the Prize for the best interpretation of the contemporary piece written by Guillaume Connesson, and the Shigeru Kawai prize. This success comes just after the Roma International Competition, where he won the First Prize in November 2021. He wins many other awards in international competitions : First Prize of the “Bellan International Music Competition”, First Grand Prize of the “First Swiss International Music Competition”, First Prize in the “Concours International de Scriabine”, 3rd prize in the “Concours Claude Kahn”, 2nd prize and Special Prize for the best interpretation of a romantic work in the “Concours Claude Bonneton”…
He became in June 2022 the ambassador of the humanitarian Foundation Sancta Devota, in Monaco.
Slava Guerchovitch is invited not only to festivals in France, but also in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia, Belgium and of course his hometown, Monaco.
He will release 2 Cd albums in 2025, one recital Cd, and another Cd based on Maurice Ravel’s music with his brother David Guerchovitch on the violin.
